: President’s Report : Paul reported that the report he had sent about the Annual show to the SGF had not been published in their winter magazine. Perhaps it will appear in their monthly e letter.

: Treasurer’s Report : Robert reported the Society bank balance and cash which includes member payments for the annual dinner next month.

: Social Secretary’s Report : Wendy reported that 30 people will be coming to the annual meal. 29 people have already paid. Wendy and Adam are making individual name cards for the tables.
The Spring outing will take place on Saturday 9th May to Glenharn Garden, near Helensburgh. Cost is £14 per head and this includes a guided tour of the garden, home baking and tea. The garden is hilly but anyone with mobility problems can drive to the top of the garden and view the garden from there. Wendy will look into the possibility of us going to Scone Palace for our Summer outing.

Press Secretary’s Report : Margaret continues to be happy with the K. Herald’s reporting of our activities and stated that the Herald does not charge us for this.

Speakers Secretary’s Report : Adam commented on Robert and Alan’s excellent talk on grafting fruit trees at our January meeting. Frank Fraser will speak to us in March about his experiences in the Dahlia World. Adam is still waiting for a reply from Fiona Leishman who will talk to us about flower arranging in April. Adam has several people earmarked to speak to us for season 2026- 27 but is currently waiting on confirmation.

: Web Secretary’s Report : Isabel reported that since the last meeting there had been 84 followers on our Facebook page and 181 visits to our website.

Annual Flower Show : With one exception ie a class for any kind of flowers in a basket the schedule will remain the same as last year. Adam will sort out the schedule in his computer along with a necessary update to the introductory section on the front page.  There is no further news regarding the Hall’s future.

: AOB : Isabel had received an enquiry from someone asking if the former Lenzie Horticultural Society was ever part of Kirkintilloch Society. Isabel has conducted research into this.
